Food Safety and Quality are managed by utilizing the Safe Quality Food (SQF) System.  Oven Fresh Bakery is compliant with US FDA and HACCP regulations, key members of our plant are HACCP certified. Systems, programs, policies, and trainings are in place to ensure that food safety measures are met. We take pride in our current systems and take all the necessary steps to provide the highest quality of safe food products. 

SQF Certification
Oven Fresh Bakery proudly holds an SQF certification. SQF, (Safe Quality Food) is a globally renowned certification and a robust management system for ensuring food safety and quality. Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), SQF is a pivotal food safety standard. It is crucial to have systems in place that prioritize consumer safety while upholding high standards of security and quality. This recognition signifies our commitment to meeting GFSI’s global standards and demonstrates our dedication to delivering safe and superior products to our valued customers.

STAR-D Kosher Certified
STAR-D is for establishments that contain dairy in their products. When your product or establishment is certified Kosher, shoppers know that you comply with strict kosher food laws, including cleanliness, purity, and quality. 

HACCP Compliant
HACCP is a science-based risk management system in which food safety is managed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards.  Our production operations at Oven Fresh Bakery are fully compliant with the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) food safety management system principles and guidelines. Via the Risk Assessment-Hazard Analysis steps, control points are identified with specific preventive controls developed to mitigate potential hazards.  Our HACCP-based food safety management system is process-based and critical to ensuring food safety. Our HACCP system is capable of accommodating change, such as advances in equipment design, processing procedures, technological developments, and emerging food innovations. Daily, we are practicing and continually improving our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), which are the foundational guidelines and best practices implemented to ensure the implementation of a strong HACCP food safety program as well as the quality and safety of our products.

Advisory on Food Safety GMP, GHP, Contamination Control:
In addition to the food safety & GMP procedures we follow at our facility, there are measures that must be followed during transport and for the end user. Our product must be transported frozen and remain frozen until ready to use. Do not refreeze the product once thawed, product must remain frozen until ready to thaw, proof, and bake. Oven Fresh Bakery products are not to be consumed raw and are intended for consumption after baking. 
When handling raw dough, consider the surfaces it touches and clean these surfaces before and after handling other foods, especially ready to eat foods.  Keep baked products away from raw products to avoid cross-contamination. Good Hygiene Practice: properly wash your hands prior to and after handling raw dough to prevent cross contamination.
